TELEHEALTH SERVICES
Essence Counseling Services, LLC provides mental health counseling services through virtual telehealth appointments. Telehealth allows clients to receive services remotely using electronic communication technology.
Licensure and Client Location: Services are provided only to individuals who are physically located in a state or jurisdiction where the provider is appropriately licensed or otherwise legally authorized to provide the requested service. The provider currently holds professional licensure in Florida, Virginia, and Massachusetts. Availability of services depends on the client's physical location, the type of service requested, and applicable legal requirements.
Privacy and Technology: Telehealth involves electronic communication and may present privacy, security, or technology related risks. Clients are encouraged to attend appointments from a private location using a secure internet connection and a password-protected device whenever possible.
Technology Disruptions: Technical problems, internet interruptions, or equipment failures may affect a session. If a connection is interrupted, the provider and client will follow the communication and reconnection procedures established during intake.
Limitations of Telehealth: Telehealth may not be appropriate for every clinical concern or circumstance. If a client's needs require in-person evaluation, a higher level of care, or emergency assistance, the provider may recommend appropriate alternative services or referrals.
Emergencies: Essence Counseling Services is not an emergency or crisis-response service. Telehealth appointments and electronic messages are not monitored continuously. If you are experiencing an emergency or are at immediate risk of harming yourself or another person, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. In the United States, you may also call or text 988 for crisis support.
Additional information about telehealth, its benefits, risks, limitations, and your rights will be provided during the intake and informed-consent process.
Fees, Insurance, and Payment
Essence Counseling Services, LLC offers behavioral health services through telehealth. Accepted insurance plans, eligibility, benefits, out-of-pocket and costs depend on the client's plan, service, and applicable coverage requirements.
Being insured by a plan does not guarantee that a particular service will be covered or that a claim will be paid. Clients are encouraged to verify their benefits and understand their potential financial responsibility before receiving services.
Clients who pay privately will be informed of the applicable fees before services begin. Any required payment arrangements will be discussed during intake.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
Please provide notice as early as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. The practice's cancellation, late-cancellation, and missed appointment policies will be provided during intake and before they apply.
Any cancellation or missed-appointment fee will be disclosed in advance and applied consistently with the practice's written policy, applicable insurance contracts, and governing law.
